Lisbon Lights

Lisbon at Christmas time is something to see. We have been told that every year, Lisbon spends about a million dollars on Christmas lights. It seems a little crazy to spend so much money on something that is only set up for a month, but let me tell you, downtown Lisbons is absolutely beautiful. It makes everything seem more Christmas-like, especially when you are in a country that doesn't see snow. Gotta love it when you see palm trees decorated with Christmas lights :)

This past Friday, our friend Joe took us downtown to see the lights. Thankfully the rain stopped as we got into the car and the temperature was a lovely 15 degreesish. It was a good time. Thanks for taking us Joe.

Team Portugal.

The castle that overlooks Lisbon even gets Christmas lights with the words "Boas Festas" (Happy Holidays). I wish I could have zoomed in closer.

Oh Starbucks. How I love thee :)

While walking in Baixo Chiada (downtown lisbon area) we found this vacant stable. Since we are here on missons, we figured we should occupy the stable by acting out the Christmas Story. People definitely paused to stare at us walking by for a few seconds.
